Greetings to all and particularly those of you who have been posting your daily IC tosses. I am curious. Have you seen any results from this exercise? I mean, would you say you feel your personal I Ching readings have become more clear, more powerful, that is, do you find they make more sence since you have been posting them? Would you say you feel you are more focused or anything? What keeps you coming back? Do you think it's something that just happens to work for you right now or would you recommend doing these postings to people in general?

hi rosada,
I did toss for only 5 days. I stop it because I have problems with the interpretations. TOO difficult t for me!!! Anyway what’s more important for me is what , IMO the readings I got was not for the specific days but more like the advise of the day. About a BIG issue.
I really don’t have the time to explain now but I will be back.

To continue what I start to say….
At the beginning I found it I very good idea but after 5 days with many unfinished reading I thought it was a big mistake,
because I am at the very beginning of understanding IC, so I stopped .(If you take a look at http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?t=4430 thread you’ll understand what I;m talking about )
From my less-than–two-months-experience, ( ) and with the help of some of the member of the forum ( thanks again !!!) I came to the conclusion that the readings I got was not for the specific day, but for something more general (a personal issue).
IOW , it was not a advice for the day but the advise of the day. Each hexagram ,IMO, was closely connected with the next one .
Anyway, the bottom line here is, yes they help me in a way to see from another angle or better they gave me a deeper understanding of that personal issue as post to this thread.
Although the daily reading ,imo, helped my to study the texts more openly I think its better to stop it for a while. Instead of this maybe I toss for the week. Its easier for me. I’ll listen to what I’ve told by the day #1 hex. (46) Step by step.

I have been consulting the I Ching on a daily basis for over 35 years. I ask for a principle of right action, or guiding counsel, if you will. Next morning I write a small evaluation of how I think I did and then I ask for a grade for my performance. This gears ones work with the oracle to self-change. I can't imagine my day being complete without a daily consultation. Often I find a reply remedial in reference to the day before. For example if the prior day I had been 'mighty in the forward striding toes' then more often than not the next morning I will get counsel like Hexagram 52 as a corrective.

July 24th Good Morning
16(4)->2 Another good day for undertakings. I am indeed blessed. And this day the moving line is the ruler of the hexagram so this bodes very well for activities. The line mentions gathering friends about one and I have a dinner scheduled with a friend whose wife recently had a limb amputated. The friend has been very down the past few weeks and when we last had dinner he was more depressed than I had ever seen him, but wife is out of hospital and doing fine so there is good prospect of moving forward.
I might also mention that there is a movement toward rest and repotentiation in that the hexagram changes to #2, the receptive. So I expect things to calm down in the next few days, at least where activity and undertakings are concerned.

Today I received 59(1,3)-->9. The Sequence says 'After joy comes disperal." The run of fortuitous time for undertakings I have been enjoying the last few days is ending. The upshot is dense clouds and no rain. So I am gathering together strength for future undertakings. Will have to wait things out until hexagram 40 brings a thunderstorm. Coincidentally it has been humid here in the desert, unusual for sure, but it reminds me of the sultriness before a storm. Lots of clouds and the threat of rain and the region has had next to no measurable amounts in the last three months.

W/R yesterdays counsel. (59.1,3->9) A situation came up where I had to phone the corporate help desk.The help desk is manned by personel who don't speak English very well. I was having problems understanding the person on the other end. Temptation was to be impatient, ask for someone else or start ranting to myself about illegals, etc. But I was reminded of hexagram 59 and to embody a moderate and just judgment of men. When I asked for a grade for my performance yesterday I received 7, the Army, with line 1 and 4 moving. Line 4 says, the army retreats, which is what I did.
