I just got 43 uc when asking if I should make an appointment with a gender therapist, what'd it bring me? (I feel really nervous to make that call, you know.)
Yi seems to answer I'd be able to speak my mind and eventually make a decision.
Amazing cast! I think you would be able to declare your real self, to express yourself and decide who you are. To separate from what you are not.

Hi Everyone

Very nice thread, in a business sense I could add, you are smoothing things out in a firm but professional way. As mentioned, keep emotions out of it. Also, courts particularly, judges (kings) are uninterested in emotions. They are for juries.
This is the advice on not forcing the issue I believe.

I have just received this in my Sunday night reading, I have a number of irons in the fire. Decisions, I guess will need to be made going forward.

In general, I think I am being advised to sort it out as smoothly and professionally as possible.
If I don't I could end up getting my horns tangled up in a fence.
This means I am guessing, no messing around, and stay focused to avoid future issues.

Actually, I do remember receiving this reading on a dispute with a landlord, I stated my case plainly and factually, non-emotional, and then won the dispute.

The more I look at the hexagram, there is quite a lot going on, it appears that photosynthesis is happening as well. So, rain falling is a good thing for those receiving it. This is the reward if all goes smoothly.

Maybe that represents the "riches". The reading I have in mind and try to solve the riddle, does not involve another individual but can apply it for the inner world. Thank you.
@anemos, I just wanted to say that Wilhelm does note that with 43, the struggle is mostly 'internal' so applying it to your inner world makes perfect sense.

Having said that, it is obviously going to be frustrating if you receive this hexagram unchanged having asked for advice in making a decision. Now oddly enough, having only really read Wilhelm's translation, I did not know that 43 referred to 'deciding'. As I am still learning and have not got a lot of experience looking at other translations, I literally took it to be a "breakthrough" and determination or a commitment to being resolute to speaking our truths and letting go of toxic accumulations (this is what springs to mind when I read "to be on guard in our own persons against the faults we have branded" whereby the faults that we brand ourselves are the result of unhealthy circular thoughts. We can and do create our own demons, and can start to confuse reality with our own disillusionment (tripping in our own heads!)... or at least.. I think that's what is meant by branding faults.

I don't usually like to mix/compare divination methods but immediately 43uc reminds me of the Ace of Swords in Tarot. It's a clear decisive move, a statement or action as a statement.
@Trojina - this is interesting. I happen to be a Tarot reader- I think the Ace of Swords is quite apt here, although I would not directly associate it with making a decision in the sense that it is not really a decision card (there are other better suited for that such as the two of pentacles, or even the four of cups when it comes to indecision), but it certainly does aid in decisiveness as it cuts through our thoughts with clarity (swords talk about the mental realm and our thoughts which lines up nicely with the idea that 43 can refer to internal worlds), it can be seen as 'trimming the fat' as well and making a clean cut of thoughts that do not serve us in order to get to the truth. but being an Ace, it is also the beginning of clarity and is turning a corner.. as one would have come out of the 10 of swords (stabbed with 10 swords, dead on the beach, paralysed by one's thoughts).

I get the impression from 43, that we should assess where we stand objectively-- probably more so if we don't have any changing lines to advise us otherwise 🥲.

I too received 43 unchanging this evening when asking a question around how to gain someone's commitment -- so I guess I ought to be resolute myself for that to happen, and not allow any past hurtful or paranoid experiences that have since been translated to harmful thoughts get in the way lest that breed doubt and perpetuate fear... because then we enter a vicious cycle with ourselves where we simply can not see a way forward. We would not be able to break through.

We have to be tough on ourselves and not let our emotions derail or taint rational decision-making. Hence we have to be cautious not to enter a debate with ourselves based on passion/too much feeling...in fact I think the advice per Wilhelm based on my understanding is to gain enough strength that one does not even entertain a tug of war with emotions which may only fuel that which does not even truly reflect what's happening in the real world. We ought to "discredit" that which is "evil" by not even acknowledging it.. otherwise we give it power and we can become co-dependent on how we feel! Now that makes me think of the Devil card in Tarot.... but don't read into that too much. Literally just came to mind and I'll probably have to reflect on it.

I see 43 unchanging now telling me to be strict with myself and to uphold an internal dialogue that breaks the pattern of negativity and fear (which is the root of all evil), so that every time I get doubtful pangs that things aren't going to work out (happens A LOT), I question:
"What evidence is there in this moment that things aren't going to work out?"
"What justifies these feelings right now and do these feelings serve in an external outcome?"
followed by "Nope, not going to let baseless threats take over".

The reason I feel that we must do this, repeatedly, is to ensure that we do not then harbour excessive amounts of unnecessary bull when we do come to face external events in question. We can approach more rationally, clear headed, and therefore avoid things spilling over into arguments, whether with ourselves or with others, which may cause a rift.

Unless of course one needs to speak their truth.. and their truth may be harsh... but then I feel the advice is to still approach with the least amount of profanity to cause the least amount of disturbance, if we can help it.

Curious to know if anyone else resonates with any of this?

I got 43uc and immediately took it that that kind of headspace, that clingy deluded emotional state and all that goes with it, ie is something I wish to decisively separate from. Everyone likely can relate to that state, probably having known it in some form at some time. But if you're done with it ....for yourself, well you're done with it. So I was thinking about that, that I needed a clear announcement to my self that that kind of 'syndrome' for want of a better word, was not in my realm.
I love this. Hits the nail on the head for me...

Interesting you say this
and to uphold an internal dialogue
43 can also mean declaring - the story is someone shows up at court with a token, I think it's a sign of permission to see the king, and makes a declaration about what he's there for. Making a declaration to the king.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I've gotten 43uc as instructions to talk to myself! As you say, keep up a dialogue, talk myself through things. Only I find it helps if I do it out loud! It helps keep my thoughts organized and slowed-down, helps keep me on track. It's harder for my mind to wander while I'm literally talking.

Of course other than those few words out of context, this has nothing to do with your post. But it's still an example, I guess.
