MOna Lisa Shulz!! I am laughing at this because recently I saw her speak in person, and I loved her!!!!!!! I love that you put her right up there with Buddha and Jesus, though I think she would have a good jolly laugh at that. She was so down to earth and so funny...she used rock/pop music as a way to illustrate her talk. and I love the way she is so charmingly not eloquent........ I mean that in a good way. she doesnt articulate her words so well which only makes her seem so much more endearing. She is an unpretentious spiritual teacher and healer, who comes across as the goofy girl next door, in spite of her MD and Phd and intuitive prowess.

Hi All
Just to pick up on Rosada's comment on Group/higher consciousness. 2008 has been a really weird year for me, quite a journey in many respects filled with many Meng-type funeral moments, but what I have been struck by is the appropriateness to my personal situations of comments in the threads I choose to look at here on Clarity. It's been very much like someone has been pointing me to understandings not only from the posts in exploring divination but also in the shared readings section.

I feel that I have been priveledged and have joined in on some pretty amazing journeys here and linked with a great group of teachers. If we are now plugging this thread in to the highest socket we can then lets put a call out for all the angels, archangels, the ascended masters and WakanTanka himself.

When I saw this question from Meng I got hung up on a picture of us all being a vacuum cleaner. At the start of your life it's set to suck so you hoover up the dirt and dust on autopilot. It clogs everything up and you have no way of seeing beyond the layers of dust and the dust storm.

During the 50 process / moments as the vacuum cleaner is switched off the noise reduces, things settle and the vacuum bag is emptied .....it allows room. Peace and harmony take the place of chaos and discord. Other information that has been drowned by all the other noise and swirling dust finds it's way to the front. As we become cleaner and purer we conceive things that have always been there but we have been to busy on auto suck to hear/see.

Not quite as pretty a picture as the inner ear from Ravenstar, but hey every picture tells a story in the massive Multiplex of The Soup.

Mike

Mike, I'm sorry I missed your post! I was so absorbed in trying to make an attachment, I didn't 'see' you had just posted before me. What you wrote is beautiful and straight from the heart! Precognition can be cultivated from compassion, an open heart as well as feelings of pain. It is the emotions that trigger and help to activate that interlocking web of energy among people and things. Well done!

As meng, said I love the cool visual of the vacuum cleaner. :)

ravenstar

p.s. meng, thanks for the hosting site. I'll take a gander over there. :)

I put in a plug for MIchael the Archangel. Interestingly enough, I was browsing a book about him a few years ago, and there was this meditation prayer the author suggested using: She said you envision MIchael with a vaccum cleaner and then ask him to suck out the dark places where you need healing. The author said it can be used on others too if you ask their permission (psychically) before you proceed. Michael has sublime integrity so he wont vaccum if there is not permission on the part of the person being purified.:bows:

I think it's interesting how on another thread we've been discussing astral travel and whether one can influence the space they have projected into. I think 50 tells how we can invite in the higher consciousness.

50.1 Purifying one's physical body so it can handle the higher vibration.
50.2 Those around you may not be able to handle the higher vibration.
50.3 The Higher Consciousness needs a body.
50.4 The person allowing their body to be the vehicle for the Higher Consciousness may not be able to do this for long.
50.5 However, when it is a good match, the Higher Consciousness can express itself through the person.
50.6 The person who purifies his body and donates his life to the service of the Gods finds favor in the eyes of the Gods.

Things are starting to simmer now some great connections coming in. As Ravenstar said this is AMAZINGLY cool....not to say spooky. Michael and the vacuum cleaners........not quite the same ring as Buddy Holly and the Crickets.:)

ROSADA - liked the 50 process for the higher consciousness. Very insightful.

0 Nine at the top means:

The TING has rings of jade.
Great good fortune.
Nothing that would not act to further.

In the preceding line the carrying rings are described as golden, to denote their strength; here they are said to be of jade.
Jade is notable for its combination of hardness with soft luster.
This counsel, in relation to the man who is open to it, works greatly to his advantage.

Here the counsel is described in relation to the sage who imparts it.
In imparting it, he will be mild and pure, like precious jade.
Thus the work finds favor in the eyes of the Deity, who dispenses great good fortune, and becomes pleasing to men, wherefore all goes well.

Jade's gemstone meaning is something like aids calm and serenity. Assists with disentangling us from the chaos and aids self realisation as a spiritual being. Linked to the Heart chakra bigtime . It heals and balances, releasing negative thoughts, particularly alleviating anxiety and fear based emotions.

Great good fortune indeed.:)

Question: Why are we into rings here rather than handles?

It always amazes me as I question something the answer comes from unexpected sources. As I comtemplated this quote, I was drawn to a book and turned to a page with a quote very fitting for this Hex 50.6

"The bodily food we take is changed into us, but the spiritual food we receive changes us into itself; therefore divine love is not take into us, for that would make two tings. But divine love takes us into itself and we are one with it."
Meister Eckhart

I also looked into Jade and discovered it is a stone not only for the Heart Chakra but also for the kidney, spleen and liver. Jade is a receptive stone but is composed of both yin and yang and represents purity, benevolence, justice and sincerity. It also symbolizes the 5 major virtues of the goddess Kwan Kin - mercy, modesty, courage, justice and wisdom. Its smooth soft texture is calming to touch and also harmonizes and stabilizes feelings and emotions. Jade also protects the nervous system and the eyes...it gives one who wears or holds it, wisdom and clear and perceptive thinking.

During the period of the Aztecs only those of the higher class and priests/priestess' were allowed to wear or possess it. Some believed it offered immortality and was found near or on sacred burial sites.

This next part is really interesting as it talks of jade being used to create musical instruments......this should make rodaki 'Smile :)

From Scott Cunningham's encyclopedia of crystals, gems....

"Jade
Spanish: "Stone of the Flank" [hip stone, colic bone]
Receptive, Venus, Water, Kwan Yin, Maat, Buddha, Love, Healing, Longevity, Wisdom, Protection, Gardening, Prosperity, Money.

Ritual Lore:
Jade has been used to create musical instruments, including xylophonesm, gongs and wind chimes. When the stone is struck it produces a resonant [resonance]tone. Such instruments were used in ritual in China, throughout Africa and by the Hopi Indians. Jade was and is a sacred stone in China. Altars of the Moon and Earth were fashioned of jade, as were images of Buddha and various deities. The stone was often included in grave goods in China because it was thought to lend vitality to the deceased. Jade carved in the image of two men was exchanged between males as a token of friendship.

In New Zealand, the Maori carve nephrite (a stone related to jade) into images of ancestral figures, usually set twith mother-of-pearl eyes. Called hei tiki, these figures are worn on ceremonial occasions. The stone itself is considered to be fortunate.

Jade is believed to have the power over the weather. It was thrown into water with great force in order to bring mist, rain, or snow.

Magical Uses:
An ancient love-attracting stone, carved into a butterfly in China, it is worn to draw love, or is given to another in the hope of obtaining love. It was a frequent engagement gift from woman to man. Jade is also presented by a man to his bride before their wedding.

The soothing green color of jade is also healing. Wearing the stone helps the body to heal itself while working through the underlying, nonphysical problems which manifested the disease. It is particularly helpful for kidney, heart and stomach complaints.

Jade can be used to prevent disease and health troubles. The ancient Mayans wore jade amulets to guard against kidney disease and bladder problems. The Chinese sensed in jade the power to prolong life. It was carved into images such a bats, bears and storks and worn for this purpose. Likewise, jade bowls were used in meals because the Chinese believed the stone's energy permeated the food before it was consumed.

A piece of jade worn while gardening to improve the health of the plants. Four pieces of jade buried along the garden's perimeter are also effective for this purpose.

Wearing jade can bring money into your life. Charge a jade pendant or ring with money-attracting energies, then wear it and consciously allow yourself to receive money. Create a positive attitude toward money and visualize yourself using it productively, creatively. Gloomy visions of the "problems" money brings will effectively cut you off from it. When contemplating a business deal, hold a piece of jade in your receptive hand for a few moments. Be infused with its prosperous energies. Then decide which course to take.

This is interesting too...

Jade is worn, carried, or placed against the third eye to receive wisdom...the assimilated knowledge rightly applied or withheld. Jade strengthens the mental faculties and helps reasoning. This stone is also protective, guarding against accidents and mishaps which proper attentiveness can avert. It is also placed on the altar with purple candles or worn during defensive magic.

I think Jade is used in this hex as an example of taking on new energies and undergoing shifts of consciousness. In the inner world, energies and qualities don't just move through empty space like radio waves do, they are embodied.

Not sure where I going with this......

*Wanted to add, this seems to fit nicely with rosada's next post
50.6
We keep bumping into each other till we are worn so smooth that the slightest tap awakens us like the touch of an old friend.

If we were to choose one of the famous people we spoke of earlier.....let's choose Mona Lisa Schulz as she is still alive and kicking. Her incredible qualites of sharing her knowledge with us is a process of resonance......we pick up on and share those qualities with her and by doing so there is a shift in our feeling and thinking....becasue her examples and presence enabled us to find those qualities in ourselves. Similar to those of the precious stone Jade.

Hi Ravenstar
Yeah that is another spooky coincidence. How does that happen?
Your post added a lot more detail than I had. I'm off to buy a truck load of jade tomorrow.:) I guess that's the Mayan in me wanting a(nother)kick of the ball.
Like Rosada the Eckhart quote was a great insight - I sort of had a inkling of this but never seen it written so succintly. He is a modern master - I would like to formally invite him to join the thread as well.

I'm still puzzled by why in the preceding lines we have handles and now we have rings for the ting. Handles carry...rings suspend. Did I miss something in your post about this aspect.

My immediate thoughts are ........Are we being embraced / supported as one with universal love rather than having to carry all the chaos around with us. Rings go round things.Jade rings of protection?? What thoughts?

I had a good laugh when you said you were off to buy a truckload of jade  may it offer all the abundance you need.

As far as rings, could they be the 'power of the will'?

Does this mean we live how we feel....spontaneously doing whatever we feel driven to do? And creating realities where love, truth, peace, and joy are abundant. I think we have been learning that when we feel strongly and deeply about something, we can bring it to life, give it form and substance, and prosper from it in ways the material world could never give. I think that's also why the most emotionally expressive people are so creative.

And this from Carlos Castenadas The Second Ring Of Power
"The core of our being is the act of perceiving, and the magic of our being is the act of awareness. Perception and awareness can be a single, functional, inextricable unit with two domains. The first one is the attention of the tonal ; that is to say, the capacity of average people to perceive and place their awareness on the ordinary world of everyday life: our first ring of power; our awesome but taken-for-granted ability to impart order to our perception of our daily world."

Hey, that was just me being greedy - that's one I'm going to have to drop.
Power of will........hmmmm. I'm off to have a lie down and think about this.

On one of the courses I ran we used to do an exercise where you form your thumb and middle finger into a ring and get your partner to pull them apart. He'll do it pretty easy. Then you use your will and imagine that there is a ring of steel running around inside the finger and thumb. No joins just a solid ring. Imagine this and repeat to yourself ten times "ring of steel" (maybe we should have said it was a jade ring). Now get your buddy to pull the finger and thumb apart and note the difference.

Great fun and could be a real icebreaker at New Year's Eve parties.

Hi Mike,

Are you still lying down? You shouldn't be......I think you answered your own question! :D

If I may ask, what course did you teach? This sounds very much like muscle testing or a form of Kinesiology to me. Shall definitely give it a go New Year's Eve....ha! especially when everyone's a bit tipsy  ....except me of course :)

the Divine Mother Mary to the list

she never fails. years ago, I was a brand new school counselor and I had to put on an assembly for 700 elementary school children. there were 50 kids who were going to take part and I didnt know anybody's name or who could be counted on to do what. I spent a few weeks getting it together and trying to rehearse but the kids were taking full advantage of the fact that I was new and didnt really know what I was doing. I was under so much pressure and nobody was offering to help me from administration. I was a nervous wreck as it was going to be televised on a local channel ...part of a local campaign for smoke-free education....it seemed like it was going to be total chaos and I would be humiliated. I called upon the Divine Mother.

the day before I was in my car in tears. I put on a random cassette tape, one of many I had in my car of assorted songs I had recorded. It started to play in mid song, a show tune from Gypsy: Everything's Coming Up Roses, but the line I heard full blast when I put it on was:

YOu can do it
All you need is a hand
We can do it
Mama is gonna see to it....
Curtain UP
Light the Lights
we got nothin to hit but the heights...

It was so ironic and startling that I started laughing.

the assembly went on and it was like magic. everything came together, complete success.
a 50.6 event indeed.

Hi Janice
The course was related to business improvement and personal empowerment within the workplace. It was a new exercise that my co-trainer brought into the course at the time. It had amazing results with how people saw themselves. It's funny how little things pop back in our head like that at the most opportune moments.

Bamboo! We're going to have to re-do the musical I Ching and this time make it line by line. Your Everything's Coming Up Rose's experience was miraculous. I'm particularly fascinated because I had been mulling over the 3. Difficulty at The Beginning / 50. The Caldron contrast and wondering how really could 3.1.2.3.4.5.6 become 50 and you have given such a terrific example of how it happens. 3.6 "Bloody tears flow" is certainly the perfect description of a new teacher at the end of her rope - and your story illustrates how this state can and does morph to 50.
Thank you!

The jade rings in the highest place show the firm and the yielding complementing each other properly.

This situation is the same as that of the six in the fifth place, except that here it is seen from the standpoint of the sage who bestows. What appears in the six in the fifth place as the firmness of metal manifests itself here as the soft sheen of jade. It is possible for the sage to impart his teaching because the six in the fifth place meets him halfway with the proper receptivity.

Now Luis and Dobro we will be eagerly waiting to hear how being included with these Illustrious Ones actually starts manifesting in your lives. Do you experience any kind of a shift? Maybe it'll become more obvious during 51. Perhaps you best start setting your lives in order now...

Hilary is already in with the in crowd. I posted her right after Obama. I see how people could have thought I meant the other one. But that's interesting point to be made aware of right here at hexagram 50, the group consciousness hexagram - how one name can refer to many people . Hmm...
