I have found the hearts and horse shoe symbolic. because when 30 you either cling with something ( hearts) or go away ( horseshoe  )

Well, the fuel does go away, is consumed. I called my original 30 image "she fire". The original verse was:

Bright and consuming the greedy she-fire dances;
her trance lights the dark.
Gather up the wood and air, and show yourself!

30.3

How can an old man play a drum unless he’s also an old fool?
How dare a young man dream of being an old man just by following someones rule?

Use the light stand, dummy. Don't hide it under your bed, it's been said. Bad place for a candle anyway.

But it's odd, cause in my hex images of 30 i put a horse in the shadow of the guy tilling the land for some reason. It just sort of happened.

I just took note of it now. Didn't notice it as a horse before you mentioned it. Old Mac Donald had a horse, and it was his Shadow. That could be interpreted as Jungian, illustrated in Man and His Symbols.

I know this thread is about original images, but the shadow horse does make me ponder the relationship between 30 and 36.

I was pondering the same thing some days ago when I was trying to figure out what Yi was telling me with the 36 reading gave me. I needed to look at 30 too although there was not a line leading to 30 and line 36.2 was the one created that need.

Your 30 poetry, makes that association more clear. In 30 Fire is full of power. Plenty woods and air to sustain her. She can dance all the night. But in 36 situation is a bit different. She needs to go inside and curl up.

For me the image of a horse in a line stirs many thoughts and creates associations that perhaps are not very close to Yi texts, but they work for me . So in my eyes, your 30 comment and line 36.2 cling beautifully.

I love me some Jung. I think for this particular horse shadow, it would be better (in an art sense) if it were behind someone that wasn't working with the land :( I associate horses with the earth, physical power, and working. And that is exactly what the farmer is doing. I thnk the Shadow is something that we haven't discovered, or tapped into, within ourselves. He seems to have tapped into the spirit of the horse. So what does this all mean?

Interestingly, I believe 30 to be about just that: Tapping into yourself (and maybe even into your Shadow) to find the light that is yours. Maybe the farmer has just done this.

I always have a vision about early universe times, and the star dust (little flecks of light) floating about threw space on their own little journey's. Then the vision skips to human existance and i sort of see an X-ray of a body, and within the body right between the heart and stomach is one of those flecks of light. The only original thing from the beginning of time and it has stayed the same (But perhaps undiscovered) and is in all of us.

Maybe the horse shadow is me. I have issues right now with my job and not liking working for a Big company, but I do. And I also have been having problems with exersice and physical motivation. These are all things that I associate with the archetype of the horse. I would love to work with the land like the farmer. I would put my all into it. But that is not what I do and it is sad. I wake up and go to a meaningless job. And it's a job where I feel I actually dissagree with what they are doing! (sorrythis is all stuff I have been thinking about lately)

I need to think about this more..

MAREmaria - I think it is just good to get the image or vision out whatever the method. Once you manifest something in any way, you can look at it and it can help AND during the process of making the image physical a realization can happen too.
(It actually looks like the style I have been using for my images :) )

:)

I used to do a lot of collages when i was a child. I had covered all my noteboooks with collages. Maths-notebook grammar notebook etc. and I had also made some "painting" . Its pity that i didn't keep them. Now with those programs its much easier.;) I have a folder full of photos from magazines etc for future use

Here is a collage i'm trying to finish ( it has been a while since I started it, lol . its my avatar ) I prefer that style than the one of my hex 6.

Once I show it to my brother's painting teacher to help me unstuck and the comment he made was "this is not art !!! " , but i like it.

Yes, I try not to push things and start or finish a painting when it is its time . All those i have post here where in my stech book for a long time as ideas. now the become real. Its a hex 2 or hex 7 thing :)

Maria, your small avatar reveals a girl's face, which is harder to distinguish in its larger form. You prolly already knew.

I really like the blurry effect on this one!

:)

I had to do a little 48.3 to fix something didn't look nice ;)

LiSe's 48.3
If something does not work, then look at it from all sides, think about it, direct your attention to it. Solutions need fostering, they are not simply there or not. Even if you cannot figure out anything, if it has your attention, then out of nowhere some idea will come.

Yes. I can feel the frustration of the one waiting for the other, and thinking "Will you please move already!" Just how it struck me. Guess I didn't catch the same spirit as you intended, but I like it. I interpreted that the one sitting at the window is waiting for the partner to make their move. Guess it's partly why I'm an awful chess player, no patience.

Oh, I see . That explains the  emoticon. I am an awful chess player too. I don’t remember where the idea of chess clung with hex 5 but definitely, to me, it fits a lot.
No ,frustration was not what I intended to been showed but there was a lot while making that image , so I guess it came out . Do you know how hard is to find a semi-opened red umbrella ???? ( )

hexagram5-1-1-1-2-1.jpg

The chess poster I hanged on the wall, its like ( needs a lot of imagination … I know) a window or the anticipation for the "game outside", it’s the river you want to cross and the floor-chess-board it’s the game inside. All those preparations needed to cross that river without be drown
